Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Marrero, Louisiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Hours per Week: 48 hours

Job Description

• Requires 4 years of nursing experience.
• Weekend coverage every other weekend.
• Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 2 patients.
• EPIC electronic health record system experience required.
• Charge nurse experience preferred.
• Scrubs provided.

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• AWHONN Intermediate (specific to Labor and Delivery)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana.
• Minimum of 4 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
• ACLS certification.
• AWHONN Intermediate certification specific to Labor and Delivery.
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• NRP certification.

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is required; first-time travelers will not be accepted.
• Must have no employment gaps longer than 30 days in the last 7 years.
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification may be required depending on unit assignment.
• All certifications and verifications must be current or completed within 30 days of start date as applicable.
