Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - PICU
Location
- Anchorage, Alaska
Employment Type
- Travel / Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Night shifts (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7 PM to 7 AM)
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- Possibility to fill in day shifts if necessary
- Guaranteed hours: Up to 36 hours per week
- Float within scope to other units as needed (CCU, Flex Unit, SDU, Pediatrics, PICU, PCU, FBS)
Patient Population & Setting
- Acute Care Hospital
- Level 2 ER/PICU/NICU, Trauma, CCU, Floor Therapy, High Acuity Population
- Preferred experience in PICU, NICU, and Adult ICU
- Documentation system: Cerner
- Patient diagnoses primarily related to respiratory therapy
Staffing Ratios
- 1:4 patient to therapist ratio
Requirements/Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel assignment as a Respiratory Therapist
- Current certifications:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
