Overview

Travel/Contract role in Springfield, Illinois
Day shift: 4x10 hours, 8:45 AM–7:15 PM
Average daily census: 50–60 cases/day
Contract length: 13 weeks
First-timers accepted: No
Locals accepted: No; must live more than 50 miles from the facility
Weekend requirement: Once a month, totaling 16 hours
On-call required as needed for the department
Floats within scope of practice to meet facility needs
Scrub color provided
Charting system: Cerner
Parking permit required, no cost

Required Qualifications

Surgical Technologist with 3 years of experience
Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
BLS issued by American Heart Association or RQI
Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
Experience working with Neurosurgery patients
Experience working with Orthopedics patients
Experience working with Plastics patients
Experience working with General Surgery patients
Experience working with GYN patients
Experience in a Teaching Hospital setting
Experience in the general operating room (OR)
Experience with direct laryngoscopy
Experience with radial neck dissection

Preferred Qualifications

CST
Teaching Hospital experience

Additional Notes

BLS must be AHA; RQI acceptable
No license required for this role
