Job Description

• On-Call Requirement: Approximately 8-10 shifts per month, including weekends.
• Patient Diagnoses:

  • Stroke
  • Cerebral vascular diseases/defects
  • Peripheral vascular disease
• Special Procedures:

  • Breathing Treatments
  • Chest Tube Set-up/Care
  • Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI)
  • Trach care
  • Ventilator management
  • Drain and wound care
  • Sheath removal
  • Epidural pumps
  • Feeding tubes
  • Central line access
  • Cath Lab experience
  • Stent placement
  • Ultrasound

Required Experience and Skills

• Experience:

  • 3 years of critical care experience
  • 1 year of Interventional Radiology (IR) experience
  • Endovascular Lab and Cath Lab experience
  • Patient recovery experience
• Skills:

  • Sheath removal
  • IV start
  • Ventilator management
• Float Requirement: Yes, may float to First Hill vascular IR.
• Staffing Ratio: 1:1

Certifications Required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BCLS (Basic Life Support)
• Additional Certifications:

  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
  • Chemotherapy certification
  • Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
  • NIH Stroke Certification

Additional Information

• Scrubs: Provided for all procedure areas.
• Response Time: 30-minute response time required for on-call shifts.
• Background Check: Required within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked within the past 7 years.
• Health Documents:

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start.
  • TB test or chest X-ray.
  • Vaccinations (TDAP, MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Flu, COVID-19).
  • Drug screening within 90 days of start.
