Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Long Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility

Location: Indianola, Iowa
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Seeking an LPN traveler for a Long Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility in Iowa. The role involves caring for patients with common diagnoses such as hypertension, diabetes, and those needing assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) and transfers.

Work Schedule & Environment

Shifts: 12-hour shifts (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday, rotating annually
Patient-to-Nurse Ratio: Approximately 1:40, supported by medication aides for pill administration
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Point Click Care (PCC)
IV Certification: Not required for LPNs
Orientation: Location-specific, tailored to the individual

Required Qualifications

Valid LPN / LVN license in Iowa
Minimum 2 years of Long Term Care experience, including experience within the last year
Experience in Skilled Nursing and Post Acute care settings
Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association

Additional Notes

No on-call or call-back responsibilities
Backouts or quits with less than 14 days’ notice may incur a fee
Medication administration supported by medication aides
Patient population primarily includes individuals with chronic conditions requiring assistance with daily living tasks
