Job Overview
- Specialty: Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech)
- Location: Seattle, Washington
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day shifts, typically 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
- Scheduling: Shifts start between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM; regular shifts are 8 hours, with occasional 10-hour shifts (7:30 AM–6:00 PM)
- Weekend, holiday, and on-call work may be required as needed
Department & Work Environment
- Department: Radiology
- Facilities include 10 X-ray rooms and 34 Operating Rooms (OR)
- Coverage areas include General Radiology (X-ray), Outpatient Clinic, Inpatient and Outpatient Fluoroscopy, Outpatient Orthopedic Clinic, Emergency Room (ER), CCU Fluoro/X-ray room, and OR rooms
- Rotation through different areas weekly; flexibility to move between areas to cover needs
- Imaging types: General X-ray, Fluoroscopy, OR imaging, and portable X-rays
- Average daily workload: ~73 general X-rays, 10 fluoroscopy exams, 6-7 OR scans with C-arm
- Equipment: Philips digital X-ray rooms (mostly Direct Radiography), GE DR portable machines, Ziehm and GE/OEC C-arms, Siemens O-arms
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and PACS systems used: Cerner Power Chart, GE Centricity RIS, Philips Intellispace PACS
- Radiologist available on-site
- Scrub colors: Navy, gray, or a mix; scrubs provided for OR work; casual clothes required when arriving to change
Required Qualifications
- Must hold a valid Washington State Radiologic Technologist license at time of application
- ARRT certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of Radiologic Technologist experience
- Experience operating O-arm and C-arm equipment in Fluoroscopy and OR settings required
- ER experience preferred
- Ability to cover all department areas including Fluoroscopy and OR
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
Orientation & Onboarding
- Initial orientation includes organizational-specific modules
- Followed by approximately one week of rotation through different department areas
Additional Information
- Parking is not reimbursed; options include garage parking (daily and monthly) or public transit
- Agency must provide Radiology badge for traveler
- No use of Radiology Assistants (RRA) in the department
