Job Opportunity: Radiologic Technologist (Xray Tech)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Radiologic Technologist to work in a Radiology department specializing in General X-Ray. The role involves covering Emergency Department (ED), inpatient, orthopedic, and spine procedures in the Operating Room (OR) using C-arms. This position supports a Level 1 Trauma center.

Required Qualifications

• Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R)
• BLS (AHA) certification
• Ability to cover OR procedures with C-arms
• Experience working in a Level 1 Trauma environment

Experience

• Specialty: Xray Tech
• Required Years of Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum experience to cover Level 1 Trauma and OR procedures with C-arms (typically 1+ years)

Work Environment & Equipment

• Department has 3 general scanners/rooms, 2 fluoroscopy units, 6 portable units, and 9 C-arms
• Imaging studies per day: 20-30
• Equipment used: GE C-arms, Carestream and Shimadzu portables, GE/Fuji general radiology rooms
• EMR/PACS systems: Epic, Fuji PACS
• Radiologist coverage: In-house during daytime; remote at night
• No requirement to start IVs
• Radiation badge must be provided by the agency (not supplied by facility)

Scheduling & Work Hours

• 24/7 coverage with routine shifts; no self-scheduling
• Weekend and holiday shifts required
• Shift example: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, Friday through Sunday
• No call or standby requirements

Orientation & Additional Information

• Orientation includes equipment overview, department tour, and Epic system setup
• Clinicians must be in-state for the week of orientation, even if some modules are remote
• Hospital provides scrubs (blue color)

Other Notes

• No floating or coverage of other areas required
• Use of PAs (Physician Assistants) in the department
• Driving license must be submitted; radius for travel is 60 miles from the facility
