Job Opportunity: Labor & Delivery RN

Location: Brattleboro, Vermont
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse for a small, traveler-friendly hospital. The unit includes nursery and postpartum care, with a focus on providing quality care in a non-trauma, community hospital setting.


Unit Details

  • Facility size: 61 beds
  • L&D Unit: 7 total rooms plus nursery
  • Licensed for 11 bassinets and 9 maternity beds
  • Overflow rooms available adjacent to the unit
  • Level One Nursery (higher risk births transferred to tertiary centers)
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio follows AWHONN staffing guidelines
  • RN responsibilities include antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care
  • No requirement to scrub or circulate during C-sections (only to receive neonate from sterile field)

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years recent LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) experience
  • Current Vermont RN license
  • Certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS
  • Advanced Fetal Monitoring experience
  • COVID-19 vaccine and booster required (no exemptions)
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required

Shift

  • 7pm to 7am (night shift)
