Tele Float RN

Overview

• Role: Tele Float RN
• Location: Tacoma, Washington
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights
• Hours: 12-hour shifts, 48 hours per week
• Schedule: Full time, every other weekend

Required Qualifications

• BLS
• At least 2 years of acute care experience
• RN license
• Must be able to titrate drips

Unit Details

• Primary assignment is in Med/Surg and Telemetry
• All units are telemetry
• RNs take 4-5 patients
• CNAs take 8-11 patients
• Tele is monitored remotely by telemetry techs, who read strips; RNs verify the reading
• RT equipment includes CPAP, BiPap, and trachs; no vents

Floating

• Required to float to all MS/Tele divisions
• May also float throughout Region Two:

  • St. Clare Hospital – Lakewood, WA
  • St. Elizabeth Hospital – Enumclaw, WA
  • St Joseph Medical Center – Tacoma, WA
• May be assigned to alternate Med/Surg and Tele units
• May be assigned as a CNA if RN staffing is short
• May be assigned as an entrance screener if needed

Scheduling and Call

• Every other weekend required
• 1-2 winter holidays required
• Up to 4 call or standby shifts during the contract

Additional Notes

• Travelers may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year
• Breaks must be taken when offered and cannot be refused
• Orientation includes 4 hours each on 7th, 8BC, 9th, 2 south, 3 south, and 4 south
• Alternate units are not included in orientation
