Overview

• Unit: Cardiac PCU (5th Floor)
• Location: Silverdale, Washington
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights, 12 hours
• Hours per week: 36
• Beds: 24

Required Qualifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in PCU
• Experience handling stable Coronary Artery Bypass Grafts (CABG) patients
• RN must be able to titrate drips

Preferred

• NIHSS
• CRRN
• PCCN
• EPIC experience

Unit Details

• Patient mix includes TAVR, post-cath patients, temporary/transvenous pacemakers, VATS, lobectomies, POD 2-5 CABG, and thoracic fem pops
• Ratios are 1:3-4 for PCU level acuity
• CNAs are available
• Charge nurse present
• Hospitalist available; intensivist not in house
• RT is dedicated to the unit
• Offsite central monitoring is used, and nurses read and interpret their own strips
• Traveler may float within skill set to the 4th floor and take a PCU load

Scheduling

• Weekend requirement: every other weekend at minimum
• Holiday requirement: at least 1 major holiday during the holiday season
• Manager needs travelers who can work 2 of the 3 holidays and be flexible
• No call or standby requirement

Additional Notes

• Shorter assignment lengths of 6-8 weeks may be considered
• 48-hour weekly guarantee may be offered for shorter contracts only
• Any professional color scrubs are allowed
