Pediatric Physical Therapy

Overview

• Role: Pediatric Physical Therapist
• Location: Bismarck, North Dakota
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours/week, day shift
• Setting: Split between school-based and hospital-based outpatient pediatric care

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in physical therapy
• Valid Physical Therapist license in North Dakota
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Driver's License
• Physical Therapist (1 year of experience)
• Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• Pediatric Physical Therapist experience
• Last 4 of SSN
• Must note in submission if the clinician has ever worked for Sanford Health; if previously worked there, the end date must be 6 months prior to submission
• Does not accept local travelers with permanent addresses within 80 miles

Preferred

• 3+ years of pediatric PT experience

Job Duties

• Pediatric PT evaluations and treatments in school-based and hospital-based outpatient environments
• Developmental assessments, orthopedic assessments, gait evaluations, and assessment of orthotic and equipment needs
• Documentation and record keeping
• Training patients, parents, caregivers, and support staff
• IEPs, 504 plans, and 3-year evaluations
• Goal setting
• Travel around the Bismarck area between schools and the hospital
• May occasionally cover an acute care pediatric patient

Work Environment

• Must be able to work independently
• Works with school-based case managers and support staff
• Therapist-to-patient/student ratio is typically 1:1
• No call, weekends, or holidays

• Uses Epic / One Chart electronic medical record
• Must badge in and out at the facility
• Dress code: polo or business casual; no blue jeans
• Pediatric coverage includes patients from birth to 21 years old
• Coverage may include inpatient, outpatient, school-based, home visit, and daycare visit settings
