Role Overview

Travel assignment for an experienced CT/X-Ray Tech in Santa Cruz, California.

Required Qualifications

2+ years of experience in CT/X-Ray
Active BLS
ARRT-CT
ARRT-R
California license

Assignment Details

Shift: Nights
Hours: 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Contract length: 13 weeks
Unit/department: Radiology
Facility has 2 scanners: Siemens Sensation 64 and GE 16 Light Speed
Floating: Radiology
Floor-specific orientation: 3-4 shifts

Clinical Notes

Common patient types include ER patients, Virtual Colonography, and gated procedures if asked; otherwise general CT experience
Ratios: 10-20 scans depending on the shift, with evenings the busiest
Crisis Protocol Approved
Fluoro
EMR/PACS: Cerner and McKesson PACS
Holidays: same hours as weekends, with holiday work in rotation
Scrub color: Teal
Radiologist is not available 24/7; Nighthawk is used for night shift
