Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR Tech experience
• Active Washington State license for CVOR Tech (pending license acceptable to submit)
• BLS certification
• COVID-19 vaccination required

Work Environment & Schedule

• Unit: CVOR with 4 suites
• Cases per day: 22-45 total across CVOR and Cath Lab specialties
• Shifts: Monday through Friday, 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts with varied start times depending on contract
• Block scheduling allowed
• Orientation: 1 week floor-specific orientation
• Floating: CVOR Tech may float to Main OR; Main OR nurses may float to vascular cases if experienced

Call and Weekend Requirements

• Call shifts: 8-9 call days per month for techs
• Call hours: 9 PM to 6:30 AM next day
• Weekend call rotation includes 12-hour day shifts, 12-hour night shifts, and 24-hour backup shifts
• Call response time: 30 minutes
• Holidays covered by rotation

Skills & Experience Preferences

• Robotics experience preferred but not required; training provided for Da Vinci XI robotic system
• Common cases: standard cardiac, cath lab, vascular, thoracic procedures
• Scrubbing preferred but not required for RNs

Additional Information

• EMR system: EPIC
• Scrub color and scrubs provided
• Housing may be difficult in the area
• Charge nurse covers both Main and CVOR units
• Surgeons are on call after hours
• Shift manager may consider 4/10 or 5/8 weekday or weekend schedules with possible holiday call
