ICU Registered Nurse

Location

  • Fergus Falls, Minnesota

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Schedule

  • Day/night rotation
  • 12-hour shifts
  • Every other weekend
  • Holidays are worked as scheduled
  • Floating to Med Surg

Unit Details

  • 5-bed ICU
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2
  • Charge nurse: none
  • Nurse aides: as needed
  • Tele/monitor techs: yes
  • Respiratory therapy coverage: on call after 6 pm with 10-minute response
  • Pharmacy coverage: in house until 10 pm, then remote
  • Floor-specific orientation: 1–2 shifts

  • Stroke
  • STEMI
  • Non-STEMI

Required Qualifications

  • RN license
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • TNCC

Clinical Details

  • Drips used include Cardizem, Insulin, Propofol, Versed, and vasopressors
  • Ventilator model: Hamilton C-1
  • Hospitalist in house
  • EMR systems used: Paragon-Hospital and Allscripts Touch Works-Clinis
