Sleep Study Technician (Cardiopulmonary) - Oregon

Job Type

Contract position
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM) every weekend
Hours per week: 36

Job Summary

Perform patient set-ups for overnight sleep testing
Record overnight polysomnographic (PSG) and video recordings of patients' sleep activity for diagnostic evaluation
Administer sleep medications according to policy
Communicate and coordinate activities with Sleep Lab supervisor

Required Qualifications

Valid Polysomnographer license in Oregon
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Polysomnographer, with experience within the last year
Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential through the BRPT
Healthcare Provider BLS certification
Minimum 1 year experience in neurodiagnostics or respiratory therapy, including experience as a Respiratory Therapist

Cons

Schedule was atrocious especially night shift. Significant amount of floating to the ER as helping hands or a sitter.
