Surgery Tech

Location

Grand Junction, Colorado

Schedule

Evening shift
3x12 hours
Variable shifts
On-call, weekends required

Contract Length

13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid Certified Surgical Technologist license in Colorado
Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
CST or NBSTSA
Graduation from a non-accredited surgical tech program within the past six months, or two years of scrub tech experience in hospital or military surgical services within the last three years

Key Responsibilities

Support the surgical team during operative procedures
Maintain the sterile field and environmental safety
Prepare the operating room and instruments for surgery
Assist the surgeon within scope of practice
Help with room turnover, cleaning, and preparation for the next procedure
Assist with sterile processing
Recognize and respond to emergency situations
