RN ICU - Pediatrics

Contract

• 13 weeks
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour shifts

Overview

• Provides nursing care in a hospital setting for pediatric patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.
• Core duties include patient assessment and monitoring, medication administration, IV infusions and blood products, documentation, assisting with procedures, patient/family education, care coordination, and delegation to support staff.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oklahoma
• PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (1 year of experience)
• PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• CVICU experience
• NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience

Preferred Qualifications

• CVICU experience
• NICU experience
• Level 1 experience
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher from a Board Approved Program

• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
• Ability to maintain good working relationships
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
• Some computer skills
