Ultrasound Technologist – Perinatal

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Long Term
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Perform and assist with various ultrasound procedures following radiologist protocols.
Prepare and maintain ultrasound equipment; ensure proper patient preparation.
Operate ultrasound equipment in a high-risk obstetric specialty practice.
Work within a multidisciplinary team providing advanced prenatal ultrasound, fetal monitoring, genetic counseling, and maternal-fetal medicine services for pregnant patients with complex conditions.
Manage routine follow-up care and urgent evaluations throughout the pregnancy continuum.

Work Schedule

Shift: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
No call, no weekends, no holidays required
No floating to other units

Work Environment

Outpatient hospital clinic setting
Nurse to patient ratio: 1:1
Unit size: 6 sonographer exam rooms
Cases per day: 8-12

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience, preferably with high-risk obstetrics, maternal-fetal medicine, or level 2 detailed anatomy ultrasounds
High School Diploma or equivalent
Graduate of a 2-year AMA-approved ultrasound program
Licenses/Certifications:
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with OB specialty required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred

Prior travel experience is not required for this position.
