Job Overview

Specialty: Respiratory Therapist
Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Shift: 12-hour night shift, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend, occasionally every 3rd
Holiday Rotation: May be scheduled for holidays if needed
Float Areas: Primarily PICU and NICU; may also float to general med/surg acute care units and EDTC
Call Requirements: None

Required Qualifications

Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Wisconsin
Respiratory Therapist (3 years of experience)
Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
PALS issued by American Heart Association
NRP
Associate degree or certificate
Experience working with Neonate or Pediatric patients
Ventilator management experience with Servo I and Servo u, LTV, Astral and Trilogy, Oscillators
Invasive and non-invasive ventilation experience
CPAP and BiPAP experience
RAM cannula experience
NAVA ventilation experience
PEP experience
Inhaled nitric oxide (INO) experience
Intubation and extubation experience
Tracheostomy patient management experience

Key Clinical Skills

Ventilator management
Intubations and extubations
Suctioning and respiratory treatments
Experience with invasive and non-invasive ventilation
Familiarity with CPAP, BiPAP, RAM cannula, NAVA ventilation, PEP, and INO
Experience with Servo I, Servo U, LTVs, Astral, Trilogy, and oscillators
Respiratory care in pediatric cardiac ICU, pediatric medical ICU, pediatric surgical ICU, and Level IV NICU

Additional Notes

Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
Act 10 temporary licensure is encouraged for applicants without a Wisconsin license
Epic Clin Doc is preferred
Any professional scrubs are allowed
