Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Position

Job Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Shift: 12-hour variable shifts, mostly nights (1830-0700), with possible day shifts as needed
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend & Holiday Requirements: Every 3rd weekend and every 3rd holiday
• Float Requirements: Must float to all similar units within skillset as needed
• On Call/Call Back: Not generally required; if required, call back time is 1 hour minimum with 2-hour minimum pay if called back
• Low Census Hours: Eligible for 36 hours of unbillable low census hours; on-call hours count toward this

Licenses & Certifications Required

• CRT or RRT accepted (RRT preferred)
• Wisconsin Respiratory Therapist License required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Advanced NRP certifications required at time of submission
• Certifications must be from AHA or ARC

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RRT experience required
• NICU experience highly preferred
• EPIC charting experience preferred

Unit & Patient Overview

• Patient types include MedSurg, ICU, ED, and urgent care volumes
• Typical patient load: approximately 4-10 patients per shift
• Procedures and equipment include:

  • EKGs
  • Small volume nebulizers
  • Heated high flow oxygen
  • Non-invasive ventilation (NIV)
  • Ventilator management (Hamilton C1 and G5, V60 BIPAP)
  • Baby resuscitation

Additional Information

• Must comply with flu and COVID vaccination policy or wear a mask at all times during flu season
• No exceptions to vaccination policy; failure to comply may result in corrective action
