Job Opportunity: RN Medical / Surgical / Telemetry

Job Requirements

• Certifications:

  • BLS (AHA only, AHA RQI acceptable) – required for submission
  • ACLS (AHA only, AHA RQI acceptable) – required for submission
• Licenses:

  • Nursing license verification (Nursys) required within 30 days of start
  • License/Certificate verification must be done within 30 days prior to start (Primary Source Verification)
• Education:

  • Must have an accredited nursing degree through ACEN or CCNE
• Additional Requirements:

  • ACLS/BLS certification required
  • Float required
  • Solid black scrubs required
  • Return to Office (RTO) allowed up to 7 days maximum; candidates exceeding this will be rejected
  • Block schedules accommodated case-by-case; indicate interest if applicable
  • Interview required

Onboarding & Compliance Requirements

• Health & Immunizations:

  • Fit Test (N95 mask) within one year of start, updated annually
  • Pre-employment physical within one year, confirming ability to perform essential job functions
  • COVID-19 Vaccine: Fully vaccinated required (medical/religious exemptions considered case-by-case)
  • MMR: Titer or 2 adult vaccines; no declinations accepted
  • Hepatitis B: Titer or complete vaccine series; signed declinations accepted
  • Influenza Vaccine: Required October-April; medical/religious exemptions require approval and documentation
  • 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot): Negative results required; no declinations accepted
  • Varicella: Titer or 2 adult vaccines; no declinations accepted
  • Tdap: Within 10 years of start (optional)
  • Annual TB Questionnaire (Summa form) completed, signed, and dated
  • Positive PPD requires negative chest X-ray within 1 year and completed TB questionnaire (optional)

• Testing & Competency:

  • Unit-specific competency exam (passing score required, updated annually)
  • Unit-specific skills checklist (updated annually)
  • EKG and Telemetry exams with passing score of 80% or higher (within one year)
  • Core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics (updated annually)

• Background & Screening:

  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start, updated annually
  • Criminal background check (FCRA compliant, 7-year search plus SSN trace, nationwide checks) within 90 days of start
  • OIG Search within 90 days of start
  • EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check within 90 days of start
  • Social Security Card or Social Security Number verification required

• Documentation:

  • RN Submission Packet checklist required at submission
  • Work Order Confirmation form required upon offer acceptance

Additional Notes

• Must provide and carry valid government-issued photo ID
• All certifications, licenses, and verifications must be current and repeated if there is a break in service of 30 days or more
• Candidates exceeding 7 days of Return to Office (RTO) will be automatically rejected
• Block scheduling is possible but must be requested in advance
