Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room

Job Description

• Provide safe patient care using nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Deliver direct patient care within scope of practice in the Emergency Department.
• Guide patient/family teaching and supervise other nursing personnel.
• Communicate changes in patient condition and diagnostic results to physicians.
• Respond quickly and accurately to patient condition changes or treatment responses.
• Knowledgeable about EMTALA regulations and reporting of abuse to appropriate agencies.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

Required Licenses & Certifications

• Current and valid California RN License
• BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• ACLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• PALS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• NRP (for NICU, L&D, Postpartum RNs)
• NIHSS or Stroke Certification (preferred)
• BVP (MAB) training for Workplace Violence Prevention

Required Credentials & Compliance

• COVID-19 vaccination and booster (or completed declination)
• MMR: Proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer showing immunity
• Hepatitis B vaccination or declination accepted
• Influenza vaccine or declination required during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31)
• TB test within one year of start date
• Varicella vaccination or titer showing immunity
• Tdap vaccination or declination accepted
• Annual physical/health statement confirming clearance to work
• Annual respirator fit test (optional but recommended)
• National criminal background check within one year of start date
• Prime Core Competencies Exam (minimum 80% score or attestation)
• Prime Skills Checklist
• Prime Color-blind test (annual)
• Prime OIG exclusion check
• Prime SAM/EPLS exclusion check
• Employment eligibility verification (Form I-9 or agency attestation)
• Signed job description acknowledgment
• Prime Agency Attestation after all credentials are uploaded
• Drug screening (minimum 10-panel including THC; saliva THC test required for CA locations) within 60 days of start

Additional Requirements

• Driver’s license, State ID, or Passport required for onboarding
• Resume and two professional references required at time of offer acceptance (one reference must be from a manager or direct supervisor)
