Location: Beachwood, Ohio
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Extension to an existing assignment as a Certified Surgical Technician.
• Switching companies; continuity in role expected.

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist with at least 1 year of experience.
• Experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist within the last year.
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Health and Safety Requirements

• Immunizations and Titers:

  • MMR: Positive titers within last 15 years or appropriate booster protocol.
  • Varicella: Positive titers within last 15 years or appropriate booster protocol.
  • Hepatitis B: Proof of full series, partial series with declination, or positive titers within 15 years.
  • Tdap: Vaccination within last 10 years (no declinations accepted).
  • Influenza Vaccine: Optional; if declined during flu season (Oct-Mar), masking and specific forms required.
• Tuberculosis Testing:

  • 2-Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) with negative results within last 6 months (annual requirement).
  • If positive, clear chest X-ray (valid for 5 years) and current TB questionnaire required.
• Fit Test:

  • Completed within 1 year prior to start; updated annually. Specific approved respirators listed.
• Physical Exam:

  • Pre-employment physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming ability to work without restrictions.

Background and Compliance

• Criminal Background Check:

  • Within 6 months of start, including Social Security trace, county searches (last 7 years), national criminal sweep, and sex offender registry.
  • International background check required if not living in the U.S. for past 5 years.
• Fingerprinting:

  • Ohio residents 5+ years: Ohio fingerprints (BCI&I) and FCRA-compliant national criminal background check.

  • 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start; instant drug screens not accepted.

• Employment Eligibility:

  • Completed I-9 or attestation confirming eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Education and Employment Verification:

  • Highest level of education verified through third-party (international equivalency required if applicable).
  • Employment verification for last 5 years through third-party.
• Additional Screening:

  • OIG exclusion check, SAM/EPLS/GSA/OFAC screening within 6 months prior to start.
• Photo ID:

  • Non-expired government-issued photo ID required.

Skills and Competency

• Skills Checklist:

  • Clinical skills checklist completed within 1 year prior to start (one-time requirement).
• Competency Exam:

  • Must score at least 80% on relevant department competency exam within 1 year prior to start.
• Core Competencies:

  • Must complete core training modules (HIPAA, Joint Commission-NPSG, OSHA topics) with at least 80% passing score within 1 year prior to start.
