Registered Nurse - Cath Lab (Travel Assignment)

Location: Honolulu, Hawaii
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Shift: Day shift (AM/Days)
Hours: 40 hours guaranteed per week (4 shifts of 10 hours each) plus call

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) setting.
• Work scheduled day shifts with guaranteed hours and on-call responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Cath Lab RN.
• Active Hawaii RN license required at time of application.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Must meet all state licensure requirements, including acceptance of out-of-state licensure if permitted by state executive orders.

Required Certifications and Compliance

• BLS and ACLS certifications (mandatory).
• Proof of immunizations and health screenings including:

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) with proof of titer or vaccination series started (no declinations).
  • Hepatitis B with proof of titer or vaccination series started (no declinations).
  • Influenza vaccine (required October 1 – March 31, no declinations).
  • Varicella with proof of titer or vaccination series started (no declinations).
  • Tdap vaccine.
  • Tuberculosis testing: Two-step skin test, TSpot, or Quantiferon within 12 months prior to start date. Acceptable alternatives include prior positive skin test with negative chest X-ray within 12 months.
• N-95 fit testing within the past 12 months with approved mask models.
• Drug screen (10-panel) within 60 days prior to start.

Additional Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License or State ID.
• Completion of professional references (2 required from recent assignments).
• Criminal background check covering 7 years, including county, state, national, and federal databases, completed within 60 days prior to start.
• Completion of facility-specific core competencies, skills checklist, unit exam, and orientation acknowledgements.
• Submission of education and employment verifications.
• Compliance with facility dress code and confidentiality policies.
• Completion of annual TB questionnaire and latex questionnaire.
• Submission of a recent professional headshot and I-9 form.
• Completion of traveler attestation packet and webchecks as required.

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this assignment.
• This is a travel contract position with a defined duration of approximately 12 weeks.
• The role requires flexibility to work call shifts in addition to scheduled day shifts.
