Role details

• This is for a competent and experienced Telemetry RN in a critical access hospital.
• The unit is a 12-bed MedSx unit.
• Average assignment is 4–5 patients, with a maximum of 6 patients.
• The RN may care for high-acuity patients or float to high-acuity units.
• The RN is expected to stabilize acutely sick patients using ACLS guidelines and prepare them for transfer to a higher level of care.
• The RN will work with CNA staff, RNs, a critical care-trained house supervisor, MDs, and respiratory therapy.
• The RN must be able to titrate a Cardizem drip.

Required qualifications

• Valid RN license in Michigan
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Driver's License
• Experience with cardiac or critical care drips
• Ability to titrate Cardizem drip
• Experience with heated high-flow respiratory support
• Experience with post-op care of general surgery patients
• Experience with post-op care of orthopedic patients
• Experience with post-op care of urology patients
