Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

Job Description

An Occupational Therapy Assistant supports the Occupational Therapist in delivering therapy treatments aimed at improving patients’ mobility and physical health. Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting patients with exercises and treatment plans
• Monitoring patient progress to ensure successful treatment completion
• Encouraging patients throughout their recovery
• Helping patients improve quality of life by addressing their challenges
• Assisting injured employees in regaining motor skills to return to work
• Teaching patients with disabilities to increase independence
• Updating patient records for the Occupational Therapist
• Maintaining the cleanliness and order of the office, treatment room, and equipment
• Educating patients, family members, and caregivers on skills and techniques to support treatment programs

Requirements

• License: COTA license (Required)
• Certifications: CPR certification (Required)
• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of Occupational Therapy experience (Preferred)
  • Long Term Care (LTC) or Rehabilitation experience (Preferred)
• Additional: Completion of 8 hours of NBO training
