Job Opportunity: Radiation Therapist

Location: Fort Collins, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Shift: Days, Monday-Friday
• Shift Hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM or 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM
• Schedule: 5 shifts per week, 8 hours each
• Weekend Requirement: No
• On-call Requirement: No
• Floating: Traveler may float to a nearby sister facility
• Orientation: Traveler will need to be onsite for orientation and assist with opening a new department
• Uniform: Scrub color grey or steel
• Special Requirements: Experience with TrueBeam technology required
• First-time Travelers: Accepted if they meet experience requirements

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist, including experience within the last year
• ARRT (T) certification required
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association required
• Experience with TrueBeam radiation beam therapy technology required

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• I-9 or attestation
• Driver’s License/State ID (clear copies front and back)
• E-Verify or attestation
• Proof of name change if applicable
• Background checks including 7-year history, education verification, and various federal/state screenings
• State license verification (Colorado) within 60 days of start
• NURSYS verification (if applicable)
• Physical exam within 1 year, signed by MD, DO, NP, or PA
• Fit mask test within 12 months, updated annually (specific mask types required)
• Immunizations and titers: TDAP, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Drug testing within 30 days of start, updated annually
• COVID vaccination proof or signed declination
• Color blind exam (Ishihara test) required prior to start (online testing not accepted)
• References: 2 references from last 2 years, including one from the last year, from charge RN, manager, or supervisor
• Employment history verification for last 3 years, with explanations for gaps over 30 days
• Skills checklist and competency exams updated annually (medication, dysrhythmia/EKG, OSHA, core competencies)

Additional Notes

• Traveler must confirm renewal plans for any certifications expiring within 90 days of start to avoid clearance issues.
• Facility-specific orientation modules must be completed within the first two weeks of assignment.
• Candidate will be required to comply with all facility-specific compliance and health documentation requirements.
