• Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Job Description

• Perform MRI scanning with prior MRI scanning experience required.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
• May require participation in a call schedule/rotation at some inpatient locations.
• Physical requirements include sitting and using a computer for extended periods, assisting patients with mobility difficulties, and the ability to push, pull, and lift a minimum of 25 pounds (with or without accommodation).

Required Certifications & Licenses

• MRI certification (ARRT certification required; ARMRIT accepted at some locations)
• CPR certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred
• State license: Massachusetts RT license preferred but not required
• 24 CEU credits required every 2 years

Requirements/Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist
• Recent MRI Technologist experience within the last year
• Certification by ARRT or ARMRIT

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit and use a computer for long periods
• Assist patients with mobility difficulties
• Ability to push, pull, and lift at least 25 pounds (with or without accommodation)

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Emergency Contact Form
• Background checks including state-specific searches and federal databases
• Statewide clearance (Massachusetts iCORI)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Respirator Fit Test (N95) within 12 months
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• Immunizations or proof of immunity for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
  • Varicella (positive titer or 2 vaccines)
  • Tdap within past 10 years or declination
• Drug screening (9-panel) within 1 year
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season
• Completion of facility-specific mandatory trainings and policy acknowledgments prior to start
• Photo for badge (passport-style with solid background)

Additional Requirements

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Skills checklist annually
• Professional references (2 for travel/allied/per diem acute care; 1 for per diem non-acute care)

Summary

This is a travel contract MRI Tech position requiring prior MRI scanning experience and relevant certifications. The role involves weekend shifts with physical demands and patient assistance. Compliance with extensive documentation, immunizations, and background checks is mandatory before starting. The contract length is approximately 13 weeks.
