Job Description

Seeking a Physical Therapist with acute care experience to join on a travel contract basis. The position involves working standard weekday shifts with no weekend requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Kansas
• Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Proof of identity and eligibility to work (I9, government-issued photo ID).
• Background checks including a 7-year criminal history, FACIS Level III, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG screenings.
• Education verification or proof of highest degree earned.
• Physical exam within 60 days of start, signed by an MD, DO, PA, or ARNP confirming ability to perform essential job functions.
• N95 Fit Test within 12 months of start (onsite fit testing available if needed).
• Immunizations and health screenings including:

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months.
  • Current Tdap vaccine within the last 10 years (recommended for all staff).
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination series.
  • Hepatitis B immunity or vaccination series.
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination series.
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31).
  • COVID-19 vaccine or declination accepted.
• Drug screening: 9 or 10 panel drug screen within 60 days of start (SAMHSA certified, reviewed by MRO).
• References: Two professional references within 2 years required for travel positions.
• Completion of facility-specific health and safety modules prior to start (approximately 8 hours).
• Photo for badge required.

• Facility requires full background checks completed prior to start; instant searches are not accepted as placeholders.
• Physical exam must specify if accommodations are needed to perform job functions.
• If N95 fit testing is not current, it can be completed onsite during orientation.
• Flu vaccine declination requires mask-wearing at all times during flu season.
• Drug screen must be current and meet facility standards; instant drug screens are not accepted.
• All required documentation and certifications must be completed and verified before starting the contract.
