Travel Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical
Location: Augusta, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Job Summary
- Work on a General Medical Surgical Unit caring for adult to geriatric patients
- Patient ratio approximately 1:6
- Unit uses Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR systems
- Scrub color: Navy Blue
- Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
- Weekend shifts every other weekend
- Expected to work major holidays if they fall during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day)
- Return to Office (RTO) maximum 7 days
- Orientation hours vary based on contract length
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty (Medical Surgical)
- Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Georgia
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, and other certifications may be required depending on unit (refer to specialty/unit requirements)
- Background Checks: Must be completed and cleared prior to start
- Health Requirements:
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
- Required immunizations or titers (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, TDAP recommended)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start
- Flu vaccination or documented declination required during flu season
- Competency Exams: Medication, Dysrhythmia/EKG, and color blindness testing required
- References: Two clinical references required
- Skills Checklist: Updated within 12 months
- Work History Verification: Verification of most recent employer required (can be pending at start with proof)

- Compliance with all documentation and credentialing required to start on time; delays may result in assignment pushback
- Candidate profile review by manager within 48 hours of confirmation to ensure fit
