Job Opportunity: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Shift: Medical-Surgical Days
  • Schedule: Every other weekend required
  • Float required within the unit

Required Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical-Surgical nursing
  • Previous travel experience preferred (not required)

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Oklahoma
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required at time of submission
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required at time of submission

Required Qualifications & Compliance

  • Valid RN license in Oklahoma
  • Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience within the last year
  • ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • PALS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NRP certification
  • Chemotherapy certification
  • TNCC certification
  • Tech Cert Verification - National
  • MAB certification
  • CPI certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License or State ID
  • Background checks including 7-year history, education verification, and federal exclusions required
  • Physical exam within 12 months of start date
  • Fit mask test within 1 year of start date, renewed annually
  • Immunizations and health documentation required:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella immunity or vaccination
    • Hepatitis B status (titer, series, or declination)
    • Varicella immunity or vaccination
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start

Additional Requirements

  • Completion of unit-specific skills checklist annually
  • Work history verification for the past 7 years
  • Completion of employment application/resume submission
  • Compliance with facility-specific orientation and safety manuals
  • Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable

Notes

  • Candidates must be prepared to float as needed within the unit.
  • Prior travel experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Every other weekend work is required.
