Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Nurse

Location: Winfield, Kansas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 3 shifts of 12 hours (3x12s)
Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend

Job Description

Work in a critical access setting, primarily covering after the second shift
Must be able to manage high-risk labor and delivery cases including vaginal deliveries, forceps/vacuum-assisted deliveries, C-sections, and surgical cases such as cervical cerclage
Neonatal and newborn care responsibilities
Pain management and postpartum care
Use of external fetal monitoring (EFM), sterile speculum exams, NST, reflex checks, sterile vaginal exams
IV management, medication administration
Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kansas
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Completion of at least one travel assignment in Labor and Delivery
ACLS certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
