Medical Lab Technician - Travel/Contract

Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Specialty: Laboratory
Shift: Night shifts, 12 hours (7 PM - 7 AM), 3 or 4 shifts per week (36 hours/week)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Work schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off, night shifts (7 PM - 7 AM), Wednesday through Tuesday
  • Support Blood Bank operations including irradiation, splitting blood products, plasma reduction on plateletpheresis
  • Occasional basic Microbiology support required
  • Float within the department required
  • Weekend work required
  • No on-call requirement

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Medical Lab Technician license in Louisiana
  • Minimum 2 years of Medical Lab Technician experience
  • Medical Lab Technician experience within the last year
