Registered Nurse (MS/Tele) - Travel/Contract
Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Nights only (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 18:45 - 7:15)
- Hours per week: 36
- Patient Population: Medical/Surgical patients
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5-6
- Float Requirement: Must float to similar units at least once a week
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, including holidays
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Scrubs: Navy color required
- Unit Systems: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR
- Special Procedures: Heparin drip management
- Scheduling: Based on scheduling gaps
- Must pass EKG competency test for this specialty
- Contract staff may be assigned to Storm/Hurricane Teams and may be required to work during catastrophic events or disasters
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical and Telemetry nursing, with experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Valid Driver's License
Important Notes
- No Return to Office (RTO) after booking allowed; call-offs or additional RTO may result in cancellation and Do Not Rehire status
- Contract length accepted: 13-26 weeks
- Contract staff may be consolidated to centralized office mid-assignment and reassigned as needed
- Physical exam is not required for this crisis profile
- Candidates must complete the Corp ID setup and I-Learn login within 24 hours of receiving instructions to avoid start delays
- Radiation badge not required for this specialty

- Background checks including SSN trace, 7-year county residence, nationwide search, sex offender search
- Education verification for highest degree earned
- Drug testing within 6 months of start
- Required forms: W4, State-specific W4, Permanent Tax Declaration, Driver’s License/State ID, Social Security Card (if used for I9), Direct Deposit, Emergency Contact, EOE forms, Arbitration Agreement, Medical and Employee Information Release
- Facility-specific documents: Confidentiality Agreement, Hospital Policies Acknowledgement, Tobacco-Free Campus Acknowledgement, Annual Compliance Training, Medication Safety Certificate, Non-Novant Health Worker Orientation Checklist, Photo for Badge
- Must complete required certifications and competency exams as outlined above
This position is ideal for experienced Medical/Surgical RNs comfortable with night shifts, floating between similar units, and working in a fast-paced hospital environment with disaster response responsibilities.
