Registered Nurse – GI Lab (Travel/Contract)
Location: Pomona, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Deliver patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Day shift, 5x8 hours, 40 hours/week)
- Rotating weekends required
- Weekday shifts include 7 AM – 3:30 PM and 5 PM – 9 PM
- On-call required
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- Minimum 2 years of endoscopy experience, with at least some experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Facility Requirements
- Completion and signing of facility-specific documents prior to start, including:
- Orientation packet acknowledgment
- Job description acknowledgment
- Privacy and security agreement
- Timekeeping acknowledgment
- COVID-19 exposure questionnaire and vaccination declination forms if applicable
- Drug diversion module review and attestation
- Pneumonia program education for Med Surg, Telemetry, ICU, and ED RNs
- Submission of a passport-style photo on a plain blue background within 72 hours of signing.
- Completion of required training modules via facility LMS platform before start date.
- Two professional references required, including one from the most recent experience.
- Complete 15 years of work history documented on employment application, including locations and any gaps.
- Annual renewal of Medical Release Form.

- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- CCRN (Critical Care RN)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
- NIH Stroke Certification
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) or Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) for ER RNs
Notes
- Fire card certification is NOT required.
- Radiation badges are not provided for new candidates; if needed, must be supplied by the facility.
- Facility requires annual updates for many certifications and documents.
This position is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses with GI hospital experience seeking a travel/contract role in California with a structured day shift and rotating weekend/on-call responsibilities.

Cath lab is super traveler friendly, easygoing docs, nice coworkers, super easy to get to the facility from surrounding areas, great about scheduling what you needed off, LOTS of outdoor activities to do within an hour of here! Safe gated parking area (called the Cage), hospital is clean and welcoming, staff usually pretty great in all areas I went.
Cons
DO NOT STAY IN POMONA, stay in surrounding areas (San Dimas, La Verne, Covina, Glendora, Diamond Bar, Chino Hills, Claremont are all good).
