NICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Lafayette, Louisiana
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 18:45 - 7:15)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Overview

Assignment includes potential emergency team duties, requiring staying onsite during emergency events or serving on relief teams as assigned by unit manager.
Unit patient ratio: 1 nurse to 3 patients
Average daily census: 30 patients
Floating assignments to mother-baby and pediatric units
Weekend coverage every other weekend
Experience with Epic electronic health record system required

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid RN license in Louisiana
Minimum 3 years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience, including experience within the last year
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience with Epic electronic health record system
