Job Overview

Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiation Therapist license in Oregon
- Radiation Therapist (1 year of experience)
- Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support
Key Responsibilities
- Administer radiation therapy as prescribed and planned by the physician
- Maintain accurate treatment chart documentation and electronic treatment records
- Check prescriptions, diagnoses, charts, and patient identification
- Explain procedures and treatment-related communication to patients
- Monitor patients during treatment and report complications or unusual reactions
- Operate computerized simulation and treatment machines safely
- Perform machine safety checks, warm-up procedures, and treatment QA
- Prepare treatment rooms and equipment according to prescription
- Construct immobilization devices and use custom blocking techniques
- Use imaging equipment and treatment planning systems for tumor localization
- Train, mentor, and directly supervise radiation therapy students
- Maintain the daily treatment schedule
- Follow department and hospital policies and the Radiation Therapist Code of Ethics
