• 19:00–7:30
• 48 hours per week

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Washington
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• 2 years of experience in high acuity and high pace environments
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart Stroke Foundation
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
• EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring
• Experience functioning as Baby Nurse during delivery and providing newborn care until transfer to postpartum
• Experience with circulating in the operating room
• Newborn assessment skills including eye care and Vitamin K injections
• Post Partum experience
• Antepartum experience

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS
• AWHONN Advanced
• AWHONN Intermediate

Unit Details

• High-risk, high-volume labor and delivery
• 4 operating rooms
• Average daily census: 15
• Approximately 500–600 deliveries per month
• 31 rooms
• 31 beds

Key Responsibilities

• Function as baby nurse during delivery and continue newborn care until transfer to postpartum
• Float to postpartum and antepartum
• May float to sister facilities that provide mother/baby care

Additional Notes

• First-time travelers accepted
• Work every other weekend and holidays as needed
• Pre-approved time off is considered case by case
• EPIC experience is required
• Electronic fetal monitoring experience is required
• Heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate are used in this role
