Overview

Specialty: Emergency Room
Location: Kalamazoo, Michigan
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Schedule: Every other weekend; every other holiday
Patient ratio: 1:4
Setting: Level II trauma center with 38 ER beds plus 8 behavioral health beds

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Michigan
ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with Cerner

Additional Requirements

Must live at least 50 miles from the facility
First-time travelers accepted
Background check required before start
Education verification or diploma/transcript required
Physical exam required
Negative TB screening or chest X-ray required
Negative 12-panel drug screen required within 30 days of start
Flu vaccination or approved exemption required before start
Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity/documentation required
Confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement required
Pre-start modules required
