Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology (Travel/Contract)

Location: Worcester, Massachusetts
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty (Radiology / Cardiology)
• Work Focus: Primarily working on accelerators
• Preferred Experience: True Beam - Linear Accelerator experience preferred
• Schedule: No weekends or holidays
• Floating: Primarily at University campus, may float to Memorial, Fitchburg, and Marlborough locations
• Dress Code: Scrubs or business casual with lab coat
• Licensure: Massachusetts license required
• Certification: BLS required

Required Credentials & Compliance

• Valid Driver’s License or State ID
• Massachusetts Statewide (iCORI) Release (updated annually)
• 7-year Criminal Background Check within 30 days of start (annual update required)
• Education Verification (highest completed education, transcript acceptable if verification unavailable)
• State License Verification within 30 days of start
• NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP) within 30 days prior to start
• Physical Exam within 12 months of start, including physician statement of fitness to work without restrictions
• Drug Testing within 30 days of start date (specific drug panels required)
• TB Testing: Negative TB or Chest X-Ray documentation required; TB Questionnaire required for all candidates
• Immunizations or Declinations (with restrictions for Pediatrics, Maternity, NICU):

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Flu Seasonal Vaccination/Documentation (required during flu season)
  • COVID-19 vaccination (most recent) or facility-specific declination

Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only, required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only, check specialty requirements
• Other certifications may be required depending on specialty and unit (verify with specific job details)

Additional Requirements

• Employment Application including 7 years of employment history and explanation of gaps over 30 days
• Two professional references within three years of start date
• Skills Checklist prior to start and updated annually as applicable
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required for RNs and LPNs
• Pass/Fail Testing for Medication and Telemetry Exams (if applicable) with minimum 80% score on first day of orientation

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
• Floating assignments may require flexibility to work at multiple locations within the system.
• No weekend or holiday shifts expected.

This position is ideal for healthcare professionals with at least 1 year of experience in Radiology/Cardiology, who hold a Massachusetts license and BLS certification, and are comfortable working primarily with linear accelerators in a travel/contract role.
