Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology - Worcester, Massachusetts

Position Details

  • Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty
  • Patient Types: Trauma patients, pediatrics
  • Work Settings: Portable exams, Operating room C-arms and portables

Required Experience

  • At least 1 year of experience in Radiology/Cardiology.
  • No explicit prior travel experience required.

Certifications & Competencies

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA Only
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – AHA Only (required for ER)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – AHA Only (required for ER, NICU, PICU, OR, PACU, Pediatrics)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – Advanced NRP (AHA/AAP Only) (required for L&D, NICU, Nursery, Mother/Baby)
  • Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS)
  • Chemotherapy Certification – Preferred for Oncology
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) – Preferred for ER
  • Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) – AWHONN Intermediate may be required for L&D
  • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
  • Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
  • NIH Stroke Certification
  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) – May be required or completed onsite
  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam – Required for all RNs and LPNs
  • Competency Exam – Required as applicable
  • Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) – Medication exam required for all RNs and LPNs; Telemetry exam required for RNs in telemetry units including L&D

Licenses & Verifications

  • State License verification required within 30 days of start.
  • NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP) required within 30 days prior to start.
  • Tech Certification Verification – National, required within 30 days of start.

Background & Compliance Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License or State ID required.
  • Massachusetts Statewide (iCORI) Release required and updated annually.
  • 7-year Criminal Background Check within 30 days of start.
  • Education Verification of highest completed education required.
  • Sex Offender Search (for subcontractors if separate from background check).
  • Various federal and state background checks (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG) if run separately.
  • Compliance attestations required for any background hits.

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical Exam within 12 months of start, including physician statement of fitness.
  • Negative TB or Chest X-Ray with specific testing requirements.
  • TB Questionnaire required for all candidates.
  • Immunizations or valid declinations required for:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (declinations not accepted for Pediatrics, NICU, Maternity)
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (declinations accepted with conditions)
    • Varicella
    • Flu Seasonal Vaccination or Declination (required during flu season)
    • COVID-19 vaccination (most recent) or facility-specific declination
  • Drug Testing within 30 days of start (specific drug panels required).

Additional Requirements

  • 2 professional references within 3 years of start.
  • Employment application covering 7 years of employment history with explanations for gaps over 30 days.
  • Skills checklist required prior to start and updated annually.
  • Massachusetts Nurse Aide Registry Search required for candidates in MA (not required for subcontractors).

This position requires a healthcare professional with at least 1 year of experience in Radiology/Cardiology, capable of working with trauma and pediatric patients in various settings including portable exams and operating rooms. Compliance with extensive background checks, certifications, and health documentation is mandatory.
