Location: Metairie, Louisiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Call every third day, Monday - Thursday, from 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
Weekend call every third week:
- Friday: on call 3:30 PM - 7:00 AM
- Saturday - Sunday: on call 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM
Weekend work required every other weekend (may change to every third or fourth weekend).
Facility requires coverage through Mardi Gras (Feb 13 - Feb 22); minimize time-off requests during this period.

Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years.
Drug screening within 30 days of start (includes comprehensive panel).
Various health documents including:
- Physical exam (within 12 months)
- Immunizations: Tdap, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (recent within 3 months)
- Annual flu vaccination or approved exemption/declination (required Oct 1 - Mar 31)
Competency exams and annual updates required (Medication, Dysrhythmia/EKG, Core Parts I-III).
State license verification and NURSYS verification within 30 days of start.

Prior travel experience is explicitly required; first-time travelers will not be considered.
Endoscopic vein harvesting skill is a strict requirement.
Call and weekend coverage expectations are significant and must be adhered to.
Minimize time-off during Mardi Gras period due to high demand.

This position is ideal for experienced surgical services professionals with prior travel assignments and specific procedural expertise.
