Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (MedSurg) - Travel/Contract

Location: Anniston, Alabama
Contract Length: 8 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Nights, every other week (EOW)
• Schedule: Option for 4x12 hour shifts
• Float: Required
• Possible Charge Nurse duties: As needed
• Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Start Date: ASAP

Required Skills & Experience

• MedSurg nursing experience
• IV starts
• Isolation Precautions
• Wound Care / Wound Vac
• Level II Trauma experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred (prior travel experience is preferred but not explicitly required)
• Alabama RN license required
• Current BLS certification via AHA or ARC required
• NIH Stroke Certification preferred

Certifications & Licenses

• Required:

  • Alabama RN License
  • Current BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Preferred/As applicable:

  • NIH Stroke Certification
  • ACLS and PALS may be required based on unit (not required for MedSurg RN)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked in last 7 years
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• Official transcript/diploma or third-party education verification required
• National certification/verification prior to start and upon expiration
• Primary source verification of state license prior to start and upon expiration
• NURSYS verification prior to start
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Fit mask test within 12 months of start
• Immunizations and health documents required:

  • Tdap vaccination or declination within 10 years
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within past 12 months (TB questionnaire if test expires during assignment)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
  • Varicella vaccination, history, or positive titer
  • 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination (mask required if declined)

Summary

This is a travel/contract Registered Nurse position for MedSurg nights with an 8-week contract in Anniston, Alabama.
