Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse with operating room experience to circulate and scrub in multiple specialty areas including:

• Transplant (Liver and Kidney)
• Endoscopy
• Vascular and Vascular Emergencies
• Neurosurgery
• Trauma (including MVA, gunshot, stabbings)
• Heart circulation
• General Surgery
• Pediatrics
• Microbiology

Call Requirements:

• Call rotation: 1 night every third weekend

License Requirements

• Massachusetts RN license required
• Perm license preferred, conditional license accepted

Experience Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse with scrub experience in OR

• ACLS (AHA)
• BLS (AHA)

Required Background and Compliance Checks

• 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start (annual update required)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks if separate from BGC
• Education verification (highest completed education)
• Massachusetts Statewide iCORI clearance within 30 days prior to start
• Sex offender search (for subcontractors if separate from BGC)
• State-specific searches as required (MA Nurse Aide Registry Search for MA candidates)

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 12 months of start, including fitness to work statement
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable
• TB questionnaire required for all candidates
• Immunizations or documented immunity/declinations for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Influenza (seasonal vaccine or declination required during flu season)
  • COVID-19 (most recent vaccination or declination required)
• Drug testing within 30 days of start (specific drug panels required)

Additional Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License or State ID
• 2 professional references within 3 years
• Employment application covering 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days
• Skills checklist prior to start and updated annually
• Medication and competency exams required for all RNs
