Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (MS/Tele)

Location: Marrero, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Work schedule options: alternating 3x12s and 4x12s every other week, or straight 4x12s
Patient ratio: 1:6
Weekend shifts required
No on-call duties
Float requirement applies
Holiday shifts required (at least 2 out of 3 holidays)
Unit includes General Medical-Surgical, COVID, TB, and all negative pressure rooms
Required skills: Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and telemetry monitoring

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Louisiana
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
Experience working with Pediatric, Neonate, and Maternal-Fetal patients
Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and telemetry
Experience with Epic electronic health record system
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Additional Requirements

Return to Office (RTO) within 5 days or add time to end of contract
Must pass background checks and verifications as per facility policy
Required health documentation includes:
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 3 months of start
- Up-to-date immunizations (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap) or approved exemptions
- Drug screening within 30 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (required Oct 1 – March 31)
Competency exams and annual updates required for medication, dysrhythmia/EKG, and core competencies

Notes

Employment application must include 7 years of work history with no gaps over 30 days
Must meet all facility-specific policies and documentation requirements prior to start

This position is ideal for experienced MS/Telemetry RNs comfortable with flexible 12-hour shift schedules and working in a dynamic hospital environment with diverse patient needs.
