Job Description

• Position: ER Registered Nurse (RN)
• Responsibilities:

  • Work in the Emergency Room and on the floor as needed
  • Flexible to work nights or days
  • Schedule: 36 hours per week, with occasional additional shifts
  • Most weekends required
  • No on-call duties
• Start Date: ASAP

Required Qualifications

• License: Missouri State RN license or Compact RN license
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or ARC only
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC only
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – As required
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – As required
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – As required
• Experience:

  • Registered Nurse specialty (ER) – Minimum years of experience not explicitly stated; assume standard RN experience for ER roles
• Background Checks:

  • 7-year criminal background check within one year of start, updated annually
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
  • State-specific search (Missouri EDL Search) completed prior to start
• Health Requirements:

  • Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands, updated annually
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
  • Immunizations or titers for Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption required for clearance starting 10/28/2024
  • 9-panel drug screen within last 12 months
• Competencies:

  • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
  • Core competency exams as applicable
• Documentation:

  • Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
  • Completed employment application/resume
  • Skills checklist updated annually for applicable unit

Additional Information

• Contract setup can be arranged to avoid overtime until after 48 hours worked
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
