Ortho Registered Nurse

Overview

Travel/Contract role in Winston Salem, North Carolina
12-hour nights
36 or 48 hours per week may be offered
Contract length: 16 weeks
Unit is willing to accept 20+ week contracts up to February 27, 2027
Patient population includes orthopedic, neuro spine, med-surg, and post-surgical patients
Fast-paced unit with 39 rooms and 39 beds
Expected nurse-to-patient ratio is 5-6:1, with flexibility up to 7:1 in extreme cases
Travelers may be required to float to any other med surg unit within the facility
Every other weekend required
No call requirement
Block scheduling may be offered

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Orthopedics experience with 2 years of experience
Orthopedics experience within the last year
IV Start
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIHSS

Preferred Qualifications

ACLS
Charge Nurse experience
Level I Trauma experience

Additional Notes

RTO after booking is not allowed
Holiday RTO cannot be approved
Locals are accepted at regular rate for the holidays
Candidates should be able to manage pain control for ortho and spine patients
