OR RN Position - Albuquerque, New Mexico

Job Summary

  • Provide direct patient care using the nursing process during assigned shifts.
  • Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care.
  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs and responses.
  • Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Initiate and document appropriate protocols and standards of care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document accordingly.
  • Identify and address patient and family learning and discharge needs throughout care.
  • Supervise LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel clinically.
  • Complete patient population, procedure, and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards.
  • Floating between departments or local locations within 20 miles is required.

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years current experience in a large Operating Room (OR).
  • Ability to scrub.
  • Team player, flexible, and accustomed to a fast-paced environment.
  • Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Epic electronic health record experience preferred (training available on-site).
  • Experience in Orthopedics, EENT (Eyes, Ears, Nose, Throat), and/or Vascular surgery is a plus.

Education Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required.

Certifications & Licensure

  • State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License required.
  • BLS certification required (through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross).
  • ACLS and PALS certifications preferred if obtained.
  • PALS preferred.
  • ACLS preferred.
