Location

  • Neptune, New Jersey

Job Summary

  • Perform complex CT procedures, producing sectional and 3D images for interpretation.
  • Assist with interventional and therapeutic procedures.
  • Review and obtain patient clinical history; document and scan into PACS.
  • Prepare, screen, and review contrast questionnaires with patients/family.
  • Administer contrast media as prescribed.
  • Verify exam prescriptions and communicate with Radiologists and Referring Physicians as needed.
  • Verify insurance authorization and coordinate exam modifications.
  • Obtain and schedule outside studies for comparison.
  • Provide exam copies to patients and requesting parties.
  • Evaluate radiographs for proper identification and diagnostic value.
  • Prepare patients for scanning, including shielding and immobilization.
  • Determine appropriate contrast type and dose.
  • Explain procedures and address patient questions.
  • Perform venipuncture, IV patency, and maintenance.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions during procedures.
  • Work scheduled shifts including holidays and weekends.
  • Lift at least 25 lbs., push/pull 50 lbs., and stand for at least 6 hours daily.
  • Adapt care to patient needs including age, culture, language, and disabilities.

Schedule

  • Wednesday to Saturday, 9:30 PM – 8:00 AM
  • 4 shifts per week, 10 hours per shift (40 hours/week)
  • Weekend requirement: Every Saturday
  • Holiday requirement: 1 holiday
  • No on-call or float requirements

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in New Jersey
  • Minimum 3 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
  • Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program or High School diploma or equivalent
  • ARRT Registered Technologist (R) certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
