Radiology Tech Position

Location: Louisville, Kentucky
Employment Type: Clinical-Allied
Shift: Day
Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

  • Perform diagnostic imaging using radiologic equipment to produce high-quality images that meet or exceed standards.
  • Apply thorough knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and image quality.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, provide education, and address questions or concerns with an age-appropriate approach.
  • Ensure patient safety, radiation safety, infection control, and quality control techniques are followed.
  • Understand patient positioning and imaging techniques.
  • Oversee and train students involved in patient care and imaging procedures.
  • Apply radiation safety techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Radiology Technician license in Kentucky
  • Minimum 2 years of Radiology Technician experience, including experience within the last year
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Experience with Epic electronic health record system
